Body Rhythms: Where percussion, voice, and movement meet

Step into an immersive experience where movement, rhythm, and sound become tools for connection and creative expression. In this collaborative workshop led by a dancer and a percussionist, body, percussion, and voice merge in a shared exploration of rhythm and community.

Using guided improvisation, playful exploration, and deep listening, we’ll treat the body as an instrument, the drum as a storyteller, and music as a universal language. You’ll be invited to tune into your breath, heartbeat, and inner rhythm to express yourself fully.

Open to all levels – no prior experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to move, listen, and engage with others.

Doriane Mbenounviews the art of movement as a powerful form of healing. For her, dance is a means of reclaiming her identity and reconnecting with her cultural heritage. Her approach is based on improvisation, allowing her to develop movements that reflect both her personal experiences and roots.

Jarita Freydankis a drummer, percussionist, singer, and producer who builds bridges between cultures, eras, and forms of expression through her music. Inspired by Afrofuturism, she blends traditional African rhythms with electronic sounds and multi-layered choirs.
