Perennial Resonances

Perennial Resonancesis a series of activations enmeshing stories, songs, allusions, gestures, wonders, ruminations, and play. We invite you to stroll through multiplicities of narrative that evoke gossip between nature, technology, and storytelling.

Positioned in the cosmopolitan Mattancherry area of Kochi, where identities, her-stories, and memories rhythmically form a palimpsest of human and non-human expression, the program nurtures a space for convivial sharing and encounter. Foregrounding the politics of the locality, this program platforms, listens to and partakes in stories told by Kerala-based storytellers – from puppetmakers and indigenous musical archivists to shadow puppeteers, food artists, filmmakers, and more.

Perennial Resonances is aligned with How Does It End? conceived by Tales Kollektiv & Articultural Society / SAVVY Kwata – an exhibition in the framework of the collateral program of Kochi-Muziris Biennale. The program is supported by Forplay Society and SAVVY Contemporary.
