Qhapaq Raymi. celebrating winter solstice

Dear kids and families! Together with the Peruvian Intercultural Center Todas las Sangres Berlin, we invite you this Saturday to experience the winter solstice. Qhapaq Raymi is an ancestral celebration of modern Peru that honors the Sun. In this special moment, when the Sun is farthest from the Earth, we will connect and celebrate in a creative way – with workshops, dance chocolate and other sweets: 

We will explore the art of the Ayacucho retablo, a unique expression of storytelling and tradition. We will also design and present a choreography that will combine dance and costume creation. And then we will close the afternoon with a warm chocolatada, where we will enjoy hot chocolate and sweets prepared collectively.
