Together with blaxTARLINES KUMASI, we cordially invite you to Ernestina Doku's installation “Nodes and Knots” which makes use of everyday materials such as bamboo and fabric to create space(s). This space is created in the open where total control of what the work becomes, and will be after its composition is not completely known. It interacts with various elements present; natural light, wind, weather conditions, human and non-human entities, etc.
This project takes place within a collaboration between blaxTARLINES KUMASI and SAVVY Contemporary, titled In Defense of Brokenness (2024), in the realisation of the bigger project Transitions: Cures, Chronic Promises (2024), initiated and conceived by SAVVY Contemporary.
FUNDING This project takes place within the 15-months-long programme TRANSITIONS, funded by Die Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien.
