Inside Listening

Inside Listening is a two part workshop that critically explores how cultural imperialism and capitalist systems affect our ability to listen. The workshop begins with focus on the body and reconnecting us to our internal sonic-landscape. We then shift our listening from an individual state to a collective sense by playing improvisation games together, focusing on the power of the voice as an instrument but also as a carrier of languages.

Attendees are encouraged to bring an object that makes a sound.

*No prior musical knowledge of training necessary. Participation is not obligatory and exercises are accessible for people of all mobilities.
