We are delighted to continue our radiowaves collaboration with Radio Huracán with the programme series Supra-Realities* of the Hurricane. In an exercise of solidarity with collective and individual struggles around the world, whose geographic boundaries are increasingly dissolving, Radio Huracán moves toward temporary autonomous zones. In this second season, the programme speaks with artists, researchers, musicians, and activists, creating a sonic supra-reality that goes beyond the visible, exploring other forms of resistance, thought, and experience beyond the tangible world. We will navigate the inner conscious space, listening to the stories, knowledge, and practices of migrant bodies and other uprooted voices those that have historically been present as whispers on the margins of dominant narratives. This series of episodes will open spaces where different sonorities continuously intertwine and collide: (r)evolutionizing language, rhythms, sounds, landscapes, and space-time; echoing the frequencies that serve as the base of Radio Huracán’s emissions.
* Supra-realities refers to realities that transcend or go beyond the ordinary, visible, or commonly understood world. It suggests a higher level of existence or perception, where the limits of conventional reality are surpassed, often combining elements of imagination, consciousness, and alternative modes.
