Für SAVVYZΛΛR nimmt Dich Jasmina Al-QaisiBehind Shelves– hinter die Buchregale: Dieses Format zielt darauf ab, Erinnerungen und verschiedene Momente in den Aktivitäten von SAVVYContemporary neu zu ordnen, an die Team, Publikum und Objekten, Büchern in verschiedenen Themen neben persönlichen Geschichten (sich) erinnern.
BEHIND SHELVES ist eine mögliche Antwort darauf, wie Momente katalogisiert werden können, wie Performativität, als ständige Reibung der Zeit und der Erinnerungen, erinnert und zugänglich gemacht werden können. Die Sendung stellt das Unsichtbare, das Unbeachtete und die Überbleibsel des Aktes, der Praxis, des Ereignisses in den Mittelpunkt und arbeitet darauf hin, die den Dingen gegebenen Bedeutungen zu verändern und sie wieder zurück zu investieren. Diese Objekte sind Anker der Erinnerung, ebenso wie mnemotechnische Werkzeuge, und sind Teil verschiedener irdischer Methoden der Dokumentation. Der Titel ist von einer Praxis inspiriert, bei der kleine Objekte nach Performances gesammelt und hinter Regalen aufbewahrt werden – ein nicht-normativer Archivierungsprozess, der von Jasmina Al-Qaisi, Archivarin im SAVVY.doc und Gastgeberin des Formats, entwickelt wurde.

This first episode revolved around the idea of roots expressing the multitudes of meanings and memories assigned to this word. When recorded and played into an audio form, those memories then become as well archive files – an archive’s life being sourced by itself.
